try some really strong coloured highlights - red, blue, purple - def not insipid ones.

its better than dying/bleaching then regretting and trying to get back to normal!!

your hair is really nice but if you want to change colour your hair with chocolate brown color and ask your stylist to give you highlights that are a little lighter than the chocolate brown color not much lighter so that it looks natural

If you're looking for natural colors: perhaps a chocolate brown with some reddish/auburn highlights. From the photo it looks like you might have the skin that would complement warmer red/auburn tones...

If you're looking for something fun and funky: how about jet black with the ends hot pink. I saw a girl with a long ponytail done this way a couple of days ago and it looked really awesome (but they looked like extensions)... Point: only about 2 inches along the bottom was hot pink while the rest is jet black. Might be a little challenging to achieve with your layers... Considering your layers- you could just pink the ends of your bangs and do a few pink strips through out the rest.
